Capacitor voltage transformer (CVT) is intended for voltage measurement, power measurement, auto control and relay protection in effectively earthed neutral system or non-effectively earthed neutral system, and intended to be a coupling capacitor in carrier coupling device in power line.
CVT consist of a capacitor divider and an electromagnetic unit. Capacitor divider comprises one or several coupling capacitors in series. Capacitor divider and electromagnetic unit are connected between intermediate terminal and low-voltage terminal. An electromagnetic unit contains an intermediate voltage transformer, a compensation reactor, a protective device and a damper which are assembled in an oil filled tank. Secondary winding is lead out through terminal box in tank front.
"C" type iron core is more stable and reliable.
Rapid-saturated reactor can effectively suppress ferro-resonannce and keep open-delta residual voltage below 1V.
In 0.02s following primary short circuit to ground, the secondary residual voltage can drop to below 5% of the peak voltage before short-circuit, which meets the requirements of quick relay protection device.
