The project carried out research and development of large-scale wind farms, photovoltaic power plant cluster control systems and intermittent energy power generation dispatching systems, demonstrating applications in the Weibei Electric Power Dispatching Center and the Hexi Corridor Wind Farm and Photovoltaic Power Plant; and built ±160kV/200MW in the Guangdong Nan'ao Wind Power Base. /100MW/50MW world's first three-terminal flexible DC transmission demonstration project; completed intermittent power supply grid-connected planning and random full-process analysis system development and demonstration in the Northwest Power Grid.

The project carried out research on key technologies of high-permeability intermittent energy regional power grid, demonstration in Yancheng Power Grid in Jiangsu Province; completed research and development of key technologies such as high-density multi-access point building photovoltaic system grid connection, applied to distributed photovoltaic power generation of Haining 20MWp in Zhejiang The project established a MW-class distributed photovoltaic/energy storage power generation system; completed the research and development of microgrid technology with distributed power supply, and built two microgrid demonstration projects with system capacity of 2.94 MW and 1.86 MW respectively in Wenzhou, Zhejiang.

The project has developed an electric vehicle intelligent charging and discharging integrated power station system, built a 1.25MW/2.25MWh energy storage power station in Jiading Anting; established an electric vehicle ordered charging system, covering 21 charging and replacing stations; Dalian Chengxi Charging Station demonstrated the application of the interactive coordination system for electric vehicles and power grids.

The project studied the design and monitoring management and protection technology of large-capacity energy storage system, built a demonstration project of 2MW/2MWh energy storage system, completed the research and development of coordinated control technology for multi-type energy storage systems, and carried out in Zhangbei Fengguang Storage Base and Shandong Jiji Island. Demonstration application; developed an energy management and control system for MW-class energy storage power station, and built a 5MW/10MWh all-vanadium liquid energy storage demonstration project in Wolverishi Wind Farm.

The project developed a smart distribution network self-healing control system, which was demonstrated in four substations, 23 feeders and 89 power distribution rooms in Guangdong Financial High-tech Service Area. The key technologies and smart matching of intelligent power consumption were carried out flexibly and interactively. Research on electricity information and communication technology, completed demonstration projects in Nanning, Yangzhou and Wuxi, Guangxi; completed the integrated research and development of smart distribution parks, and demonstrated the application in Tianjin Zhongxin Eco-city, with a total of 20,216 users, renewable energy generation The annual average penetration rate is 20.74%.

The project has carried out the integration of large-scale power grid operation state sensing, risk assessment, fault diagnosis and dispatching, flexible control to improve the safety and stability of the power grid and operational efficiency, intelligent high-voltage switchgear, intelligent monitoring and life-long transmission and transformation equipment based on the Internet of Things. Technology development such as cycle management, and demonstration applications in Central China Power Grid and Yunnan Power Grid.

As an important layout of China's smart grid field, the project has broken through a series of key technologies, formed a relevant standard system, built a number of demonstration projects nationwide, implemented promotion and application, and cultivated a large number of talents. The expert group unanimously agreed that the project completed the research content and main evaluation indicators stipulated in the project notification, and agreed to pass the acceptance.
