The North American Lighting Engineering Association IES recently released three new standard test documents for parking lot lighting, other exterior lighting, and indoor fluorescent lighting products. Two of the Recommended Practices RP standards are primarily applicable to solid-state lighting (SSL), while also confirming the fact that LED light sources have dominated such applications. The standard for additional test methods is, as the name suggests, specific to fluorescent lighting.
Android is an open source mobile operating system based on Linux platform released by Google at the end of 2007, and then improved for use in netbooks and MIDs. The platform consists of operating system, user interface and application software, and is claimed to be the first truly open and complete mobile software for mobile terminals.
To put it simply, the Android system is actually a very open system. It can not only realize the functions of the most commonly used notebook computers, but also realize various directional operations like mobile phones. Moreover, it is specially designed for mobile phones. The operating system developed for equipment has advantages in system resource consumption and human-computer interaction design. It is an operating system that combines traditional and advanced advantages.

Three new lighting-centric standards called “Lighting for exterior environments†(RP-33-14), “Lighting for parking facilities†(RP-20-14), and “ Approved method for photometric testing of indoor fluorescent luminaires for the acceptance of photometric tests for indoor fluorescent lamps" (LM-41-14).
The publication of the RP standard is based on the experience of IES committee professionals to guide lighting design work and covers a wide range of different applications. For example, our recent webcast covered key changes and additions to the new road lighting standard RP-8. The test and calculation methods defined by the LM standard act on product manufacturers to describe the performance of components or lighting systems to ensure a level playing field. For example, the LM-80 is suitable for the performance of packaged LEDs. Similarly, the LM-79 is used for bulb and luminaire features.
The lighting recommendation for parking facilities RP-20-14 focuses on fixed lighting and is intended to guide new installations. It is not recommended to apply it to existing installations in IES unless the existing lighting system needs to be updated with lighting technology. This standard covers outdoor and covered garages. These guidelines are produced to optimize the safety of pedestrians and vehicles.
The external environment lighting recommendation standard RP-33-14 focuses on solving problems such as sky illumination and light intrusion into external lighting devices. It provides guidance on the use of the Model Lighting Ordinance model lighting regulations. In particular, this document will assist the lighting designer/descriptor in determining the specifications of the appropriate lighting area for a particular application.
The indoor test standard defines a test procedure that ensures "sufficient, uniform methods to determine and report the light distribution performance of indoor fluorescent lamps". Like the previous LM files, the LM-41 details the product's testing environment for thermal environments and lighting control. The goal is accurate and consistent photometric data, ensuring a fair comparison of products from any supplier.
