1 wiring

To install the network camera, you should make full use of the existing network cable architecture inside and outside the building. First, check the environment of the monitoring site, select the best installation point, and then lay a network cable from the installation point to the nearest network access point, using the RJ45 interface. The distance from the network camera to the nearest network access point is controlled at around 90m. At the same time as the wiring network, it is also necessary to consider the power supply at the installation point.

2 internet access

Network cameras need to be remotely monitored via the Internet. This requires an Internet connection, such as ADSL, on the monitored site, as well as an Internet access device such as a broadband router or firewall. Multiple network dome cameras can share one Internet cable. Generally, one 512K ADSL can carry 4-8 network dome cameras. Of course, the remote effect is not as smooth as on the LAN.

3 parameter settings

â—† The network camera should set the IP address, authorized account and video parameters, etc., according to the menu settings. Use the IE browser to set up the network camera. The network camera has a default IP address and an administrative account when it leaves the factory.

The computer can use the ordinary office computer, and the video needs to be equipped with more hard disks. Generally, the required storage capacity of the video images per hour varies from 150 to 500 MB according to the compression format. The surveillance video software is provided by the network dome camera manufacturer, which can set timing video, detect video and so on.
