The research team used an electro-optical crystal designed by itself to control the polarization state of the laser, and realized the large-scale optical comb frequency control by means of the birefringence effect of the entire optical cavity. This technology can achieve at least an order of magnitude higher frequency control range than other technologies under wideband frequency control conditions, effectively solving the problem of not being able to simultaneously achieve high bandwidth and large range of femtosecond optical comb frequency control under a single means.
The relevant research results were published in the 24th issue of Optics Letters, and the technical achievements have been applied for invention patents.
