AMSTERDAM--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Gemalto performed well in the 2018 biometric technology evaluation jointly conducted by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology (S&T) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The evaluation selected 12 companies from a number of applicants to evaluate their facial recognition technology to address the growing challenges of traveler identification and automated border control. Each company must also meet certain requirements, such as time constraints, unmanned operations, and limited floor space. They also accepted assessments in terms of efficiency, satisfaction and effectiveness. The 2018 review was conducted at the Maryland Test Site (MdTF). The base provides a controlled environment for simulating airport conditions for experimental evaluation and operational scenario-based testing of various biometric operational concepts for personnel access. In order to meet the requirements of biometric technology evaluation in 2018, Gemalto proposed a solution based on real-time face recognition system (LFIS), which outperformed the average range of most indicators. Compared with an average recognition rate of 65%, the solution achieved a successful recognition rate of 99.44% in 5 seconds. Gemalto, code-named "Castle" in the anonymous results announced by the organizers, performed very well. Gemalto's solution ranks among the best in FtAR (see table) and Face vTIR (see table) in 5 seconds and 20 seconds. In terms of Face mTIR (see table) and efficiency indicators, Gemalto is one of only two suppliers to achieve this goal. From 2016 to 2022, facial recognition is expected to achieve an annual growth of more than 20% in a wide range of use cases1. In addition to border security, the Real-Time Face Recognition System (LFIS) can also reduce the queue time for security checks by introducing self-service baggage check-in, and even enable biometric boarding to improve the traveler's customs clearance experience. It can also be used for registration and document verification, as well as for other business scenarios where biometric identification is required to enter a secure location. Neville PatTInson, senior vice president of sales at Gemalto's federal government, said: "We are very pleased with the excellent results of our solution in the 2018 evaluation. The success of LFIS shows us that it is not only a kind of interaction between government entities and citizens. Safe and efficient solutions, with this enhanced security solution, revolutionize the experience of sea, land and air passengers, international borders and security checkpoints, bringing greater convenience to passengers." 30v Power Adapter,30v switching power adapter, 30vdc power supply ,dc power supply 30v 10a,30v power supply ShenZhen Yinghuiyuan Electronics Co.,Ltd , https://www.yhypoweradapter.com
