IBM Cloud Adds Mobile Device Security Services, Corporate Data Is Not Afraid of Thieves

When solving corporate information technology security issues, the most daunting is the mobile device. Every employee in the company has at least one mobile device that involves a lot of internal company data. Therefore, once the employee's mobile device is attacked by the network, the company's data is very dangerous. Now, IBM plans to solve this problem with its own IBM cloud platform to increase the security of the company's internal mobile terminals.

This management service that protects the mobile terminal's security is called MaaS360. It can ensure the security of the company's network and data, provide all necessary tools for monitoring and managing mobile terminals, ultimately improving security and employee satisfaction, and reducing the burden on the IT department.

For example, an employee reported that her iPad was lost. IT began tracking the device and discovered that it was immediately activated and erased all information on the device to prevent information leakage. After a quick analysis of the tracking report, staff determined that the equipment was located under the employee's seat.

Jim Brennan is Director of Endpoint Management and Security at IBM Security Strategy and Provisioning Management. He said;

"Today, mobile security issues are gradually expanding, so we have also increased the management capacity of the IBM cloud platform so that it is local or worldwide, and customers can use their mobile devices more securely."

Currently, IBM has over 10,000 customers who manage 5 million mobile devices. Although the size of the mobile device managed by each customer is different, MaaS360 has confirmed that it can handle it regardless of its size. Now, employees have more flexibility in using their mobile devices. ”

MassS360 will provide customers with four levels, from entry systems to enterprise supply systems (which can contain thousands of users and can handle complex analysis). At present, the service management has been put into use in France and India. The United States, Germany, Singapore and other countries are in trial operation. In the next two years, eight countries will join the ranks.
