BBC Earth and Oculus have teamed up to create three virtual reality experiences that invite users into the world of different species. Caracas Users will be completely immersed in the daily adventures of Caracal cats, Oogpister beetles and black bears. "Cat Flight" focuses on the Caracal cats. By integrating advanced computer-generated graphics into 360-degree video, users will be able to explore the secrets of these extraordinary predators living in the wild; "Oogie" is dominated by the Oogpister beetle, based on the BBC. The user will act as a beetle and experience the daily challenges of this unique creature; "Bear Island" will provide users with an interactive 360-degree video, along with black bears to the shore of the vibrant Alaska River. All three VR experiences will be released separately on Oculus Rift and Samsung Gear VR in January this year. It is understood that the first three months of download will be free. This move marks the first time that BBC Worldwide has entered this field.
