The high-end numerical control machine tools represented by five-axis machining centers are used for batch demonstration applications in areas such as aircraft typical structural parts, space complex and precision structural parts, and components of flying missile engines, and are used in large aircrafts, new-type fighter aircrafts, lunar exploration projects and other countries. Major special projects and key projects provide key manufacturing equipment. For example, the successful development of the "Great Power" such as the large-size die forging press of 80,000 tons and the tension-stretching machine of the 10,000-ton aluminum sheet marked that China's aviation profile manufacturing has entered the world's advanced ranks. Large space tank sets of welding equipment, large-scale strong spinning equipment, automatic drilling and riveting equipment and other aerospace special manufacturing equipment have provided strong support for the successful completion of launch missions such as the Long March 5 and Tian Zhou No. 1. In the field of automobile manufacturing, the large-scale rapid and flexible automatic stamping production line developed by Jiji has successfully exported nine production lines over the past five years, with a domestic market share of more than 70% and a global market share of more than 30%.

According to Lu Bingheng's introduction, at the end of 2016, the standard of S-shaped test pieces for testing the accuracy of 5-axis linkage machine tools independently proposed by China has passed the examination and approval by the International Standards Committee, and has achieved a breakthrough of the standard “zero” in the field of high-end CNC machine tool testing.

Regarding future development, Luo Junjie stated that CNC machine tools will focus on the deployment of an innovation chain around the industrial chain, improve the capital chain around the innovation chain, and comprehensively upgrade the level of R&D, manufacturing and industrialization of key components represented by numerical control systems, and strive to overcome the Reliability and Accuracy Retentive Technology; Increased application verification and demonstration to meet new national strategic needs and provide support for the full implementation of “Made in China 2025”. At the same time, it will continue to explore long-term mechanisms for industrial common technology research, further consolidate technical research and high-end talent bases, and continue to increase the implementation of process verification and user-oriented demonstration applications in the development of specialized equipment to optimize product performance, enhance reliability, and complete Group process and intelligence level.
